Neustan

Neustan is a health tracking app based on the eight natural remedies, an adventist health philosophy. It was made in around five days for the 2025 edition of my university's hackathon.

The name "Neustan" is an alternate spelling of "Neustã" (originally "Nehushtan"), the brazen serpent associated with God's curing of the hebrews in the Book of Numbers.

Even though the hackathon was a team-based competition, I ended up working on this app by myself. Even so, I ended up getting in the top 5, which I'm really happy about!

The app was entirely built using Godot 4, due to it's incredibly efficient workflow. I also built many custom UI components and shaders to get it to look and feel like it does.

The screenshots in this page's gallery are taken from the video I made to show it off, which was made using Blender and DaVinci Resolve and is linked on this page.

You can read more about my experience working on this project on the blog post (still in the writing phase).
